The Living Journal -Would you have touched them ? Yes I would.

I am reading this news today with lots of heartfelt emotions towards with this article self titled ; Would you touch him?

Janne, the man in the video, is a positive man living with HIV, He has partnered up with a broadcasting company and took to the streets of Helsinki, Finland, to see how people would react. People look at him, read the sign and keep on walking, seeming rather confused by the gesture.

But despite all of the weird glances coming his way, the man stands there, unwavering. It pays off when a few moments later one woman stops, squeezes his hand, and continues.
Eventually, people are seen stopping in their tracks to turn around and give him a pat on the shoulder.
The support begins to get overwhelming when two women take it upon themselves to not only touch him, but to hug him.
To his joy, those were just the beginning of many hugs that he received throughout the day, some of which that came from children.
At the end of the video, the man is seen tearing up, overcome by the acts of kindness he had received throughout the experience.

Discrimination is one manifestation of stigma. HIV/AIDS stigma exists around the world in a variety of forms, including ostracism, rejection and discrimination.  I had been involved with volunteering services that provided by NGOS. I am having some Positive living Buddhist and Christian friends and who are living mentally, physically healthy lifestyle and many had devoted their lives into their respective faiths.

I had visited the patients at the Hospital and centers , numerous of times to support and care for the patients. I felt for their pains, sufferings and not because I am a Buddhist, but rather as a human beings, we too will be suffering in a different ways and in a different ending cycle of life.

This is one of the article I would like to share and it is courtesy by this Buddhist link :-

The Living Journal - Nothing But The Truths

Nothing but the truths.

~ People fight in the name of their religion,
~ People die in the name of their religion,
~ But somehow they don't follow and practice in the name of their religion.

~ Do not utter words that can create discord and cause the community to break. Make every afford to reconcile & resolve all conflicts, however small.

~ If you never doubt your beliefs, then you’re not finding the ultimate truths.

Blame is the favorite pastime of those who dislike responsibility.

Man said to God, please show me and I'll  follow you, God said   to man, please proof to me and I will show you.

Noble Words

A man of character finds a special attractiveness in difficulty, since it is only by coming to grips with difficulty that he can realize his potentialities.

Never give up, and be confident in what you do. There may be tought times, but the difficulties which you face will make you more determined to achieve your objectives and to win against all odds.

It is too difficult to think nobly when one thinks only earning a living.

If a man cannot understand the beauty of life, it is probably because life never understood the beauty in him.

The Living Journal - Clash of Egos

Being egoist nowadays is considered something bad by the majority of people, but egoism doesn’t mean you can't be good with others. It means you do good to others because you really want to. Many of us forgot how to be egoists and thus are living unhappy lives, or are not very popular among others and so on.

Being egoist means you put yourself and your needs before all others. It means that others are no longer the driving power of your progress but yourself and your needs.  You might think it’s unfair but after all the one to blame is you, for following other's ideas blindly.

You needs to realise that nobody but you knows what's good for you and what's going to make you happy. Only you may walk your path of life and nobody else. There are too many people spend money they earned to buy the things they don't want and also to  impress people that they don't like.

A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you. So never let your pride or ego stop you from reaching out to someone you truly care for, but being too egoistic will bring you to nowhere but destruction.

Remember the Lord Buddha taught us  :- The middle paths.

Every time your head touches the ground in prayer, remember it is to teach you to put down your ego.
